Biotechnology Business and Marketing
The San Francisco Bay Area is home to the largest concentration of biotechnology companies in the United States. This program is designed to help professionals from a variety of disciplines, within and outside the biotechnology sector, rapidly develop the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and work effectively in this growing, highly competitive, and global industry.
Requirements and prerequisites
The program consists of four required courses and 20 hours of electives, for a minimum of 90 hours of classroom study. All coursework must be completed within two years of enrollment in the program with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and no grade lower than a C. Certificates are awarded upon completion of the course sequence.
Given the scientific foundations of the biotechnology industry, it is important to have some understanding of the underlying technology. Up to seven hours of one of the preceding courses may be applied to the elective requirement.
